Well, it's crunch time for those of us on the Maine Student Book Award committee (and for me as a Cybils judge)! It's exciting and nerve-racking at the same time to be responsible for other readers in this way. I take my role on the committee and as a judge super-seriously and the experience of being on a book-selecting committee has given me a whole new level of appreciation for how difficult it is to choose "best" books because reading is so personal. Alas. For every book a reader and for every reader a book, right?
